Lake Wobegon Outfitters is now SunCycles, a mobile E-bike rental service that makes exploring the outdoors easy, convenient, and fun! Our Velotric E-bikes let you set the pace with 5 levels of pedal assist, because you—and the trails—have moods. 

Level 1:  Just a whisper of help. For when you could do it alone, but why would you? Like having a tailwind that believes in you.

Level 2:  A gentle nudge to keep things breezy. Perfect for sunny coasting, mid-ride snacks, and looking casual while secretly crushing it.

Level 3:  The “I’m not here to sweat, I’m here to chill and soak in the scenery” setting. Cruise past the cornfields like you’ve got a secret (you do: it’s this bike).

Level 4:  A solid boost when the legs start to question your life choices. Hills? Headwinds? Ha. Let’s keep it moving.

Level 5:  The turbo button. The “catch up to your fast friend” mode. The “I deserve this” level. Use responsibly—and enjoy every second.

Our hours are 10 am - 6 pm, every day, from mid-May through mid-October, depending on the weather.

SunCycles operates from a mobile trailer designed to make renting easy. Our solar-supported trailer carries fully charged E-bikes, helmets, and gear so you can arrive, check in, and start riding in minutes.

  • Book online to pick up your E-bike rental at the Lake Wobegon trailhead in Avon, at the parking lot near the observation tower.

  • While walk-in rentals are available, we highly recommend making a reservation in advance, especially during peak riding seasons. Reserving an E-bike in advance expedites the rental process at the time of your ride.

  • No. We don't allow attaching child carrier trailers to our E-bikes.

  • You must be 18 years old to rent. A valid ID is required.

    E-bike riders must be 15 years or older. No supervision is required with parent/guardian approval.

  • Yes. Helmets are included with your E-bike rental.

  • Yes. You must agree to our Terms & Conditions waiver at the time of pickup.

  • We rent Veloctric E-bikes.
